March 14, 2012 – Plainview, NY - Hunt Construction Services, Inc. announced today that the company has been awarded a contract for site work and facade replacement by the new owner of 100 Newtown Road, in Plainview, NY.  The firm will act as general contractor for reconstruction of the entire front facade of the building, as well as complete redevelopment of the parking, drainage and landscaping.

“The project is a 15,000 square foot industrial building with a prime location and a dated look,” said Robert Ciurleo, Senior Managing Partner of Hunt.  “The new owner has a vision, and that entails removing the entire front facade of the building.  The 50-year old brick, inefficient windows and entry door will be replaced with split face block, an anodized aluminum storefront with butt-glazed gray glass, and medium stile doors with side-lights and transom.  The property will receive new drainage, curbing, asphalt, irrigation system, signage and planting beds full of nursery stock.  Once completed, the building will be a showplace headquarters for a new tenant.  This is in keeping with several other major renovations within a block of this building, one for a Ferrari dealership, and the other for Reckson Associates.”
